Hello blogging friends. I'm working on a makeover of sorts for this blog which should hopefully revitalize everything. This being the first blog I ever started, I find I have quite an attachment to it and can't simply abandon it or start over. When I first started this blog, I was working at Giumarra Vineyards and doing shifts as the receptionist every now and then which basically consisted of watching Ugly Betty and waiting for people so call so I could say, "No Habla Espagnol." Everyone was always talking about how useless my French was. One day, out of blue, I was sitting there (what else would I be doing?) and the phone rang. I answered, readying my "no-spanish" line, but to my surprise, the person on the other end was speaking French. I was stunned, and sputtered, forming some nonsensical answer in French. It was as though they were rescuing me in some way, from this temporary existence where nothing I liked or thought mattered. It was a wrong number.
I had always thought this blog would be a forum for me to air my views on various topics in an articulate way, but this is quite a time-consuming endeavor which is somewhat unsustainable for me. So I'm going to scale down this blog and have shorter, more frequent posts, à la tumblr, but quite so life-streamy. I'm not quite sure what it will be yet, but I'm excited. I've been working on the design and so far it's quite promising. Here's to free fonts!
